Choose the right visit
Repair or routine servicing?
If the unit is running normally and simply due for maintenance, general aircon servicing is usually the right starting point. If something is clearly wrong — no cooling, water, noise, smells or an error — book a troubleshooting and repair visit instead. Where dirt rather than a fault is the cause, a chemical wash may be discussed after assessment.

When should you switch the aircon off?
Stop using the unit and arrange professional help if you notice a burning smell, smoke, sparks, repeated circuit trips, severe grinding noises, water near electrical fittings or a rapidly worsening leak. Do not open electrical compartments or attempt refrigerant work yourself.
